Both of our families have hoards of photographs of our families, some dating back as far as the late 1800s. Just last winter, Kris’ mom gave us a box of old photos (as we’re now being handed the torch of the official-unofficial record-keepers of the family) including his great-aunt’s wedding featuring his grandmother as a teenage as a bridesmaid… what was happening is that these memories weren’t being printed and preserved for our couple’s grandchildren. That was the biggest sucker-punch of all. And, we felt that even though we were fulfilling our contracts, we were letting people down… they just didn’t know it yet. Even worse: we’re letting their grandkids down and they’ll never be none-the-wiser.
We had to get our act together and offer albums. And good ones.
