Seaside Florida. The name itself sounds inviting. Located along scenic route 30A, Seaside is the jewel of Florida’s Emerald Coast. We spent a day in this perfectly picturesque town!
Who doesn’t want to be seaside all the time! I know I do. Maybe this is where we’ll retire to in 30 odd years. But for now, it was wonderful just to visit. Check out this great monument and architecture.

We had to stop for lunch at Bud & Alley’s. We sat on the 2nd story open-air porch that overlooked the beach and the Gulf and had (fish) burgers! Yum!
Here’s Mom and Pop Frye! Bill + Debbie were so generous with us, having us come down to visit with them! We love you so much!
Then we took our time strolling into some shops. One that really stood out was a glass-art gallery called. The craftsman ship of the glassware and sculpture was amazing. Check out that wave of glass!

We came across this wonderful open-air-market style shop: Perspicasity. It was like Anthropologie on steroids meets the simple beach life. Merchandise for home decoration as well as a health collection of unique men and women’s apparel and accessories. If you ever find yourself in Seaside, you’ll definitely want to stop in. Or, for now, just visit them on Facebook.

If you’re ever on the Gulf in Florida, you have got to visit Seaside! Please check out the town site at seasidefl.com and also visit 30A.com. The folks down there on the Emerald Coast sure have a good thing going, and they’re happy to share it with all of us.
Each day that we were there, I just couldn’t help but go down to the beach! Look at this sunset!
Kris,
You captured the intimacy of Seaside beautifully! Amazing photos! It is one of my favorite places!
